A Family Court<\/a><\/strong> sitting in Ibadan on Friday\u00a0 remanded a 30-year-old man, Hammed Siyanbola, at Agodi Correctional Centre for allegedly defiling his neighbour\u2019s 15-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n

The Chief Magistrate,<\/strong> Mrs Patricia Adetuyibi, who did not take the plea Siyanbola, ordered that the case file should be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for advice.<\/p>\n

Adetuyibi adjourned the case until Oct. 27 for mention.<\/p>\n

The defendant, who\u00a0resides at\u00a0Oyateru Street, Aba-Panu area of Ibadan, is facing a charge\u00a0of defilement.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Folake Ewe, told the court that the defedant committed the offence on Aug. 28 at about 8.00 a.m. at his residence.<\/p>\n

Ewe said that the defendant forcefully had\u00a0canal knowledge of the teenager when she went to his room to borrow plastic bucket.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe girl told her mother what the defendant did to her and the case was reported to the police,\u201d the prosecutor<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

She said the offence contravened Section 34 of the Oyo State Child Right\u2019s Law 2006.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
