{"id":44511,"date":"2022-10-18T12:26:06","date_gmt":"2022-10-18T12:26:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/?p=44511"},"modified":"2022-10-18T12:26:06","modified_gmt":"2022-10-18T12:26:06","slug":"exchange-rate-chinese-yuan-now-%c2%a57-1086-to-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/10\/18\/exchange-rate-chinese-yuan-now-%c2%a57-1086-to-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Exchange Rate: Chinese yuan now \u00a57.1086 to $1"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"entry-header\" aria-label=\"Content\"><\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>The central parity rate of the<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/13\/chinese-yuan-strengthens-to-6-3752-against-usd\/\"> Chinese currency<\/a><\/strong> renminbi, or the yuan, strengthened nine pips to 7.1086 against the dollar on Tuesday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.<\/p>\n<p>In China\u2019s spot foreign exchange market, the yuan is allowed to rise or fall by two per cent from the central parity rate each trading day.<\/p>\n<p>The central parity rate of the yuan against the dollar is based on a weighted average of prices offered by market makers before the opening of the interbank market each business day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In other news, a group of Afghan women rallied in Kabul on Tuesday to demand the right to education following the expulsion of female students from the Kabul University dormitory.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Local media reported that the few dozens of women were carrying signs reading \u201c<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/10\/17\/inec-begins-capacity-building-workshop-on-voter-education-in-adamawa\/\">Education<\/a><\/strong> is our red line\u201d and chanting that the world has forgotten them under the Taliban.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The peaceful protest was dispersed, and the women were removed from the area by the Taliban, who warned them about the risk of attack.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cOnce again, the Taliban prevented us from demonstrating by insulting and threatening us,\u201d a protestor said.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cUnfortunately, the Taliban threatened us with explosion and suicide bombing,\u201d she added.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In September, more than 50 students, mainly young women, were killed in an attack in Kabul that sparked demonstrations by Afghans around the world.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Taliban broke up or suppressed protests in several provinces by force.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In Kabul dozens of female Hazara students who were planning to join a protest claimed to be poisoned in the Kabul University dormitory.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">A few days later, the dormitory authorities expelled a number of these students for protesting their alleged poisoning, the report said.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">However, the Taliban\u2019s higher <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/08\/24\/malnutrition-committee-tasks-kaduna-ministry-on-nutrition-education-school-garden\/\">education ministry<\/a><\/strong> claimed that the poisoning was due to overeating and that the expulsion of the girls was based on the university\u2019s rules to maintain order and discipline.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The central parity rate of the Chinese currency renminbi, or the yuan, strengthened nine pips to 7.1086 against the dollar on Tuesday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.
