{"id":44740,"date":"2022-10-19T11:47:45","date_gmt":"2022-10-19T11:47:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/?p=44740"},"modified":"2022-10-19T11:47:45","modified_gmt":"2022-10-19T11:47:45","slug":"cipm-assures-commitment-to-human-capital-management","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/10\/19\/cipm-assures-commitment-to-human-capital-management\/","title":{"rendered":"CIPM assures commitment to human capital management"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"entry-header\" aria-label=\"Content\"><\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The President of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), Mr Olusegun Mojeed said their institution would continue to enhance the growth of human resources personnel management in the country.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He gave the assurance at the opening of the 54th International Conference and Exhibitions in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/06\/10\/fg-donates-relief-materials-to-victims-of-port-harcourt-stampede\/\">Port Harcourt.<\/a><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">According to Mojeed, who is also the Chairman of the Governing Council, the theme of the conference \u201cLeading People; Growing Nations\u201d was aimed at building and developing people for the growth of the nation.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He said that when people subject themselves to be lead, they are empowered to grow the nation.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<div dir=\"auto\">That\u2019s why we will continue to lead people who will be sincere to developing this nation, he added.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The president said that the goal of the conference was to make sure that people learnt from qualified instructors and returned to their different organisations, both in public and private sectors, to apply what they learnt to improve their services.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Furthermore, he said that the conference would also strengthen business acumen, appreciate macro economic trends and the impact on people management practices.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Mojeed also noted that the conference would develop the next generation of human resources practitioners in Africa.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He said that it will actively promote high standards of ethics and integrity based on a deep understanding of the Nigeria Labour Law.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">According to him, it would create strong avenues through which the people would learn and grow with Nigerian, African, and Global Academic Communities and enhance CIPM\u2019s brand image as Nigerian\u2019s apex human resource regulatory body.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Mojeed also lauded the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, who was the host for his support.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki, in his speech commended the CIPM for it\u2019s consistent contribution to issues related to personnel management for enhanced growth of the nation for 54 years.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Gov. Obaseki was represented by the Edo State Head of Service, Mr Anthony Okungbowa, who encouraged the organisation not to relent in growing the nation through human personnel management.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He added that Edo state\u2019s human resources management\u00a0 would continue to be part of the process that CIPM was championing for nation building.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The traditional rulers of Okpata kingdom in Ahoada East Local Government, represented by Mr Felix Otuwariko,urged the President and the governing body to enlist some members of the traditional council across the country.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">According to Otuwariko, traditional rulers were equally managing human resources at their various kingdoms, urging the institute to harness the potentials in the country and make Nigeria a better place.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), Mr Olusegun Mojeed said their institution would continue to enhance the growth of human resources personnel management in the country.
