{"id":45113,"date":"2022-10-21T10:40:01","date_gmt":"2022-10-21T10:40:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/?p=45113"},"modified":"2022-10-21T10:40:01","modified_gmt":"2022-10-21T10:40:01","slug":"kogi-joins-oil-producing-state-gets-derivation-allocation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/10\/21\/kogi-joins-oil-producing-state-gets-derivation-allocation\/","title":{"rendered":"Kogi joins oil producing state, gets derivation allocation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/10\/10\/obajana-kogi-students-vow-to-seek-justice-to-intl-court\/\"><strong>Kogi State<\/strong><\/a> has finally joined the league of oil producing states in Nigeria as it received the first derivation allocation from the Federation Account.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Kingsley Fanwo, Information Commissioner, disclosed this shortly after the State Executive Council Meeting at Government House, Kogi.<\/p>\n<p>Fanwo said that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/07\/30\/gov-bello-of-niger-sacks-dg-sdgs-over-lack-of-reforms\/\"><strong>Gov Yahaya Bello<\/strong><\/a>, who dropped the cheering news during the meeting, assured residents of his administration\u2019s determination to continue to record more wins for the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s on record that this administration has recorded many giant strides in various sectors covering the thematic areas of our governor\u2019s New Direction Blueprint.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis new breakthrough in the \u201cderivation allocation will no doubt make us do more for our people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn breaking the news, our governor said he was so elated to announce to the good people of Kogi State that the administration has received our first derivation allocation as an Oil Producing State.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis announcement is in line with the administration\u2019s commitment to transparency and accountability, for which we have received many awards<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe worked hard to make this history. But we wouldn\u2019t have achieved it without the support of our people, who stood resolutely with us to make this see the light of the day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also wish to express our gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for his leadership roles as well as the RMAFC for making this a reality, \u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>The Commissioner further said that Bello restated his promise to the people that he would ensure that the resources worked for them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201d We will build more schools, hospitals and construct more roads. We will empower our youth and women.
