FIFA president Gianni Infantino<\/a><\/strong> has criticised what he called unacceptably low offers for 2023 Women\u2019s World Cup broadcast rights.<\/p>\n

\u201cA hundred times less (than the men\u2019s World Cup), even more than 100 times on some occasions. This is not acceptable,\u201d the head of the football governing body told a news conference.<\/p>\n

Infantino did not name the media companies and broadcasters involved, but said they know who they are.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are not going to accept this,\u201d Infantino said about the offers.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know that the viewing figures for these broadcasters in some big footballing countries for the men\u2019s World Cup or for the Women\u2019s World Cup are actually very similar\u2026meaning their commercial income is very similar for men and for women,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He added.<\/p>\n

The 2023 women\u2019s World Cup will take place from July 20 to Aug. 20 in Australia and New Zealand.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n
