A house help, Kadija Suleiman,31 was arraigned in a Kaduna Chief Magistrates\u2019 Court on Wednesday for allegedly stealing her employer\u2019s 2,290 dollars (one million Naira equivalent) and other valuables.<\/p>\n

Suleiman, who resides in Kabala Doki area of Kaduna was charged by the police<\/a> with two counts bordering on conspiracy and stealing.<\/p>\n

Insp. Chidi Leo, the Prosecutor, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Oct. 2, at Kabala Costain in Kaduna.<\/p>\n

According to Leo, the defendant allegedly broke into the room of her employer, Hajiya Habiba Kamal and stole the money, six pieces of wrappers valued at N200,000 and a Samsung iPad.<\/p>\n

He said the police was able to track and arrest the defendant at Ungwan Dosa, Kaduna.<\/p>\n

The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 241 and 271 of the Kaduna State Penal Code, 2017.<\/p>\n

However, She pleaded not guilty to the charges.<\/p>\n

Ibrahim Emmanuel, the Magistrate, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.<\/p>\n

The magistrate said that one of the sureties must be a blood relation to the defendant residing within the court\u2019s jurisdiction.<\/p>\n
