The Bayelsa government<\/a><\/strong> has reiterated its commitment to adequately funding the education sector in the interest of future generations.<\/p>\n

Mr Gentle Emelah, the Commissioner for Education, made the statement at the closing ceremony of the 2022 Summer Class, Coding and Robotics Holiday Camping for select senior secondary students.<\/p>\n

Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mr Christopher Ewhrudjakpo, the commissioner described the programme as well-intended.<\/p>\n

He said that the Gov. Duoye Diri-led governnment would do everything possible to evolve policies that would provide quality education for the people.<\/p>\n

Emelah urged the students, participating in the camp classes, to take advantage of the lessons to gain broader knowledge of coding and robotics.<\/p>\n

The commissioner praised the Bayelsa Education Development Trust Fund<\/a><\/strong> (BEDTF) for organising the holiday camping programme.<\/p>\n

He further urged the students to use the programme to prepare for WAEC, NECO and JAMB examinations.<\/p>\n

Also speaking, the Executive Secretary,\u00a0BEDTF, Dr Alice Atuwo, said the objective of the programme was to groom a new generation of intellectuals at the secondary school level.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur aim is to help in the overall and sustainable development of education in the state,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He said.<\/p>\n

In a goodwill message, Mr Adolphus Forcados, Special Adviser to the Governor on Secondary Education<\/a><\/strong>, commended BEDTF for organising the event.<\/p>\n

Miss Sunday Blessing of the Ijaw National Academy, who emerged overall winner at the camping, urged her fellow students to devote more time to their studies.<\/p>\n
