The Zamfara Governor, Bello Matawalle has on Monday in Gusau, received 52 political groups into the All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/p>\n

Mr Zailani Bappa, the Special Adviser, Public Enlightenment, Media, and Communications to the governor, said that the defectors came from different political groups<\/a> including the Women Frontier for Matawalle.<\/p>\n

Hadiza Rufa\u2019i-Imam, who led the Frontier group said members would henceforth work for the success of the APC in the state.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, she presented different women groups from Daza and Tamburawa villages in Bungudu Local Government Area of the state to the governor.<\/p>\n

She said the women, who were card-carrying members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had defected to the APC.<\/p>\n

Also, the leaders of other women groups presented members to Gov. Matawalle.<\/p>\n

They pledged support for their new party, the APC.<\/p>\n

The groups promised to work to dispel the propaganda being spread against the APC\u2019s `Muslim-Muslim\u2019 ticket and ensure the party\u2019s success at the polls at all levels.<\/p>\n

Matawalle lauded the groups for their foresight and noted that since he defected from the PDP, every real politician would eventually join him in the APC.<\/p>\n

All powerful and respected people who contributed to the development Zamfara are now in the APC.<\/p>\n

Politically speaking, I wonder what a responsible person who loves our dear state at heart will still be doing outside the APC, Bappa quoted the governor to have said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Matawalle advised the people of Zamfara to vote en-masse for the APC \u201cfrom top to bottom\u2019\u2019 at the 2023 general elections.<\/p>\n

Gov. Matawalle equally received more than 1,000 women who defected from the PDP to the APC on Saturday, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
