Yuletide: FRSC deploys 100 personnel on Ore-Benin expressway<\/p>\n

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says it has deployed no fewer than 100 personnel, special marshals, three patrol vehicles and one ambulance for the yuletide Special Patrol on Ore-Benin expressway.<\/p>\n
Mr Siikiru Alonge, the FRSC Unit Commander, Ore, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Ore, Ondo State.<\/p>\n
Alonge said that the deployment is to ensure a free flow of traffic and safety of lives and property on the expressway before, during and after the yuletide.<\/p>\n
He said the Special Patrol which began on Dec. 17 to end on Jan. 15, 2022, had deployed its personnel and Special marshals to areas like Ajebandele-Ore, Ore, Ore-Ondo, Ore-Benin and Ore-Okitipupa axis among others to ensure hitch-free traffic.<\/p>\n
According to him, the yuletide is around the corner and that is why we are deploying over 100 personnel, special marshals, three patrol vehicles and one ambulance on the Ore-Benin expressway in order to save lives and property.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur team will ensure that motorists comply with all traffic rules and regulations in order to minimise crashes as a result of traffic laws violations.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe implore motorists to ensure compliance with normal speed limit, desist from overloading their vehicles with\u00a0 passengers and goods and other traffic violations.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also warn commercial drivers who have turned the Ore flyover to their motor parks to desists from this acts as we will arrest drivers and impound vehicles who run foul of all traffic rules and regulations,\u201d Alonge said.<\/p>\n
The FRSC boss urged motorists to ensure that their vehicles are always roadworthy before putting them on the highways, adding that they should embark on early journey to avoid night travels, which could attract security risks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
