The Northern Governors Forum on Monday lauded the Nigerian Armed Forces for stepping up their operations against bandits, terrorists and insurgents.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/header>\n

\n

The spokesman of Plateau\u2019s Governor, Simon Lalong, who is also the chairman of the Forum, Dr Makut Macham, stated in Jos that the Forum appreciated the efforts of security personnels to root out the criminals.<\/p>\n

He quoted Lalong as saying that on-going dislodging of bandits and insurgents in Sokoto, Zamfara, and Kaduna states was very commendable.<\/p>\n

Lalong said the Forum wants the operations to be sustained and further coordinated to ensure that terrorists did not shift their bases to new locations.<\/p>\n

This, he said, would ensure that the terrorists were completely subdued and restrained from regrouping.<\/p>\n

The Governor also condemned recent attacks in various local Government areas in Kaduna State, Wase Local Government Area in Plateau, Askira Uba in Borno, and Niger State, among others.<\/p>\n

Commiserating with families of victims, the Forum reiterated its commitment to continue to provide succour to those affected and also to work with the Federal Government for further humanitarian interventions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
