The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Edo State Command, says not less than 1,250 personnel have been deployed for special operations and enforcement of 13 critical areas during the Yuletide.<\/p>\n
The Sector Commander of the corps in the state, Henry Benamaisia, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Benin.<\/span><\/p>\n Benamaisia explained that the critical enforcement target included dangerous driving, speeding, route violations and the use of mobile phones while driving.<\/span><\/p>\n He said other targets were under-aged drivers, driving under the influence of drugs, wrongful overtaking, overloading, and seat belt violations, among others.<\/span><\/p>\n According to him, 25 patrol vehicles, two ambulances, two towing trucks, and one light duty tow van have been deployed to ensure free flow of traffic, and clear obstructions on the road during the period.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cTwo taskforce teams have also been set up for clearing of obstructions and traffic control, while 32 delineated corridors and routes across the state have been assigned to corps personnel.”<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMotorists should obey traffic rules and regulations, maintain safe speed, and avoid night travels in order to enjoy quality road experience\u201d he advised<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Edo State Command, says not less than 1,250 personnel have been deployed for special operations and enforcement of 13 critical areas during the Yuletide.
