Mavin Records signee, Korede Bello, says there’s never a point in his life that came with the interest of him becoming an artiste.

“It has been grace. It started as something I enjoyed doing for myself, and that gradually morphed into something I enjoy doing for others. Art is meant to be experienced and as long as I keep having new experiences, I would always find new ways to express them”, he said of his growth as a musician.

He was quizzed about the first time he knew he wanted to become an artiste. The 25-year-old gave Punch a rather bold statement, saying, “I never knew. I still don’t want to become an artiste. I am an artiste and I’m in the business of entertaining people. The currency is joy, and the medium is art”.

It is not about how many languages one can speak, it is more about what one is saying. Music is not really about how it sounds but how it feels,” he elucidated.

The handsome vocalist and a police ambassador in the Nigerian entertainment industry, said he played important roles during the 2020 EndSARS protests by articulating the demands of the youths to the Nigeria Police and the security chiefs in person.
