Seun Kuti’s sister, Yeni, has reacted to reports that her brother walked out on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state at her birthday party.
The report went viral after HipTV shared a clip, showing Seun Kuti seemingly walking away from Sanwo-Olu to show his disapproval for the presence of the Governor.
The media outfit further claimed his elder brother, Femi Kuti, brought Seun back to the party, after he appealed to him.
Yeni however, cleared the air, stating that Seun got angry when Sanwo-Olu’s security men pushed his wife, Yetunde. She added that her brother’s anger was directed at the security men, not the governor.
“What happened was that the security detail in the course of doing their duty pushed his wife. He got upset at them understandably so, not the Governor. He even explained to the governor. I beg o! He has home training. @RealSeunKuti,” she wrote.
