Celebrated On-Air Personality (OAP) Toke Makinwa has dished out some wise words about friendship to her fans on social media.
The vlogger, on her official Instagram stories, advised her followers not to only fun with their friends, but to tell them the truth when the need arises.
Toke Makinwa also noted that the ability to tell friends the truth is part of growing up. “Part of growing up is the ability to tell your friends the ugliest truth without wavering,” she wrote.
She added further that she used to condone unacceptable behaviours from her friends in the past. “I have been the friend that condoned bad behaviour in the past till it was done to me.”
“Tell your friends the truth. Friendship is not only drinking champagne and good times, friendship is the uncomfortable truth too,” she concluded.
