Nigerian musician Simi has defended her husband Adekunle Gold following an allegation that she writes his songs for him.
The mother of one felt insulted when the fan opined she composes all Adekunle Gold’s hit songs. “Simi don compose hits for Adekunle Gold tire,” the fan wrote in a Twitter post.
Simi instantly rose to defend her husband, saying the claim was not factual, and cautioned fans to stop the negative remark about Adekunle Gold.
The 33-year-old added that her husband is a hardworking and an amazing writer. “This is untrue. You guys need to stop smearing my guy. He works hard and is an amazing, amazing, amazing writer.”
Adekunle Gold recently dropped a new single titled ‘High’, featuring Davido. ‘High’ is currently topping major music charts in Nigeria and its success has spread to other parts of the African continent.
