Nollywood veteran, Joke Silva has debunked the rumour that her husband Olu Jacobs is dead.
Contrary to widespread reports on Social Media that the actor had died, his wife, Joke Silva said that the thespian is very ‘hale and hearty’.
Speaking to Punch, She said;
“Don’t mind them, they’re just talking rubbish; don’t disturb your head. He is in the living room right now about to have Eba and Ogbono soup. Let them keep deceiving themselves. He is hale and hearty.”
Rumours spread on social media on Tuesday that Jacobs had died after a brief illness. Several Nigerians had started panicking and sending condolences to the actor’s family.
Fortunately, the actor is still alive and the rumours have now been put to sleep.
The 79-year-old made headlines in 2020 after he was rumoured to be dead.
Actress Lala Akindoju who is quite close to Jacobs and his wife, Joke, however, debunked the rumour in a Twitter post saying that she spoke with the man and he was “alive and well”.
A star of several film, TV and theatre productions, Olu Jacobs has been off the acting scene for a while due to age.
