It is the late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s post-humous birthday and Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Femi Kuti is celebrating him.
Femi Kuti took to his official Instagram page to mark the special day with some heartfelt words.
Femi shared a throwback photo of Fela and noted that 24 years after his passing, they still miss him.
He wrote;
“HPBD to our father FELA
Wow 24 years gone and we still miss you so much.
We love you”
Olikoye Ransome-Kuti had claimed that his brother Fela died of AIDS-related complications on August 2, 1997, in Lagos. However, Fela’s widow maintained that he did not die of the deadly disease.
