‘Don’t Ride On My Humility’, Rema Attacks DJ Neptune Over New Song

Mavin Records golden boy Rema has attacked popular disc jockey, DJ Neptune, on Twitter for releasing their collaborative song without his consent.

DJ Neptune’s new album ‘Greatness 2.0’ was released in the early hours of Friday, November 26, 2021, and off the body of work is a track dubbed ‘For You’, featuring Rema.

Rema, who was apparently offended by the release of the song, expressed his dissatisfaction via Twitter, stating that the song was released without his consent. The 21-year-old claimed he and DJ Neptune had not been in communication ahead of the release.

“With all due respect chief! Dropped my old record without due process?!! I’m not happy at all. @deejayneptune,” Rema wrote on the micro-blogging platform.

He added; “Don’t violate the codes, can’t drop my song without my notice, can’t even remember the last time we spoke big bro, I pleaded with my manager behind the scenes when y’all tagged me before it dropped, y’all still went ahead! c’mon nau!”

Rema cautioned DJ Neptune and other artistes not to take him for granted because of his humility. He also opined that he would make more enemies in the music industry for calling out the DJ, however he doesn’t mind, for God is bigger than the industry.

“This GAME! Don’t ride on my humility, there are some things I can’t be talked out of and number 1 is my ART, if you’re not ok with it then if it’s war it’s WAR. Don J go vex for me, Baba forgive me but this no join at all.”

“Lastly, TAKE MY SHIT DOWN! I’m finna make new enemies after this, but God big pass INDUSTRY.”

DJ Neptune was yet to respond to Rema as at the time of our report at WithinNigeria. See Rema’s tweets below;
