Whenever there is a mention of an individual doing magic with movies in the Nigerian space, the name Kunle Afolayan will most likely be mentioned. The reason for that is not farfetched.
Kunle Afolayan and his KAP productions’ crew makes movies that everyone finds interesting, creative, and fun to watch. He is one of those whose movies ‘travel abroad’ and picks up a couple of awards while at it, and this is because of his attention to detail, and willingness to chase perfection.
This movie genius is about to give his audience another feature film in 2022. He hinted at this in an Instagram post where he said:
“We are on a quest to make another history.”
This was accompanied by a couple of pictures all showing him with other people on set, moving from one location to another.
Also, in the post, Kunle Afolayan hinted at a title for the movie which is ‘Anikulapo The Movie.’
The news of the making of ‘Anikulapo The Movie’ will however continue to spread as the fans of the moviemaker await the release of his upcoming Netflix Original titled ‘A Naija Christmas.’
‘A Naija Christmas’ will be Kunle Afolayan‘s second Netflix release this year – his first was his film adaptation of Sefi Atta’s ‘Swallow’ debuted in October to positive reviews.
The film ‘A Naija Christmas stars prominent faces like Rachel Oniga, Kunle Remi, Efa Iwara, and Alvin Abayomi. It will premiere on Netflix on December 16 and a lot of his fans are patiently waiting for the release.
There is no definite date set for the release of ‘Anikulapo The Movie’ just yet but production is set to start in January 2022 in Oyo State.
