Mayorkun, a top-notch musician, has disclosed he gets a lot of music inspiration from Jamaican iconic singer Bob Marley, and Legendary Nigerian jùjú singer, King Sunny Ade.
The 27-year-old songwriter made this known while speaking about his latest studio album, ‘Back In Office’, Davido and his career in general.
Mayorkun noted that his former boss, Davido, influenced his music and life in a lot of ways because he lived with him for three years. He then branded the DMW boss as his big brother.
Speaking about the musicians he would like to collaborate with, the self-titled ‘Mayor of Lagos’ mentioned Drake and for some weird reasons he didn’t specify, he stated he dreams of featuring acclaimed rapper Eminem.
He further divulged ‘do you’ as the best advice he has ever received as he sojourn as a musician. Mayorkun said that as easy as ‘do you’ sounds, it is very hard.
