Money Miss Road

Nigerian director, Obi Emelonye has revealed the first look of his coming movie titled ‘Money Miss Road.’

The film produced by Joy Odiete stars popular Nigerian skit maker and comedian, Josh2Funny and ‘Living in Bondage: Breaking Free’ star Jidekene Achufusi in the lead roles, alongside veteran actor Charley Boy Oputa.

‘Money Miss Road,’ written by Obi Emelonye, follows the story of two down-on-their-luck buddies, Josiah (Josh2funny) and Joseph (Achufusi), who share a room in a run-down portion of Gwagwalada, Abuja.

When Josiah’s wife Lucy (Oma Iyasara) and their three daughters arrive unexpectedly, Joseph checks into a local hotel but a mix-up lands him in a room belonging to Diokpa (Charley Boy), a local criminal Lord.

What Joseph discovers in Diokpa’s room transforms his and his friend Josiah’s lives, igniting a cat-and-mouse game in which Diokpa tracks the two Joes all the way to Lagos, where they have become the town’s biggest lads.

Production and primary photography on the film, which was formerly titled ‘Hunt’ (working title), began in November 2021 in Abuja. In the same month, the filmmaker had shared BTS pictures.

‘Money Miss Road’ is produced by Joy Odiete for Blue Pictures and executive produced by Odinaka Emmanuel Offia.
