After Banky W’s interview with Ebuka, old footage of Wizkid revealing he left EME with zero naira resurfaces

An old video where Afrobeat star, Wizkid said he left Banky W’s record label, Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) in 2014 without a penny, has resurfaced online.

Social media went wild with hot takes and reactions when Banky opened up recently on the almost-scandalous way Wizkid exited his music label in #BlackBoxInterview Easter Special hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

The music executive spoke on how Wizkid owed his label, EME, three albums before exiting their music deal.

According to him, Wizkid struck an agreement based on the number of albums and never talked Wizkid out of his exit to avoid animosity.

In the old video which has now made round online, Wizkid revealed that he left his former record label with zero naira.

He, however, gave kudos to his former record label boss, BankyW for all that he did for him but revealed that for him, it was time for him to move forward and so he had to leave EME then.
