The wait is finally over as Nigerian songstress Simi premieres her third studio album titled ‘(TBH) To Be Honest’ on Friday, June 3, 2022, as promised.
The new body of work boasts of 11 songs, featuring her husband Adekunle Gold, rising star FAVE, and her daughter Adejare Kosoko, identified as ‘Deja,’ on the album.
Music producers Pheelz, Blaise Beatz, Ozedikus, P. Prime, and AYK Beats worked closely with Simi to produce the album.
Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, profoundly called by her stage name, Simi, revealed that she had wanted to share the album three years ago. However, a series of unplanned life events hindered her from releasing the album, which narrates her honest life story.
The multi-talented musician had in the past released four studio albums; Ogaju in 2008; Chemistry (a joint album with Falz) in 2016; her 2017 body of work dubbed Simisola, Omo Charlie Champagne, Vol. 1, that premiered in 2019, and one Extended play (EP), Restless II, which debuted in 2020.
