Mavin Records sound boy Rema is the latest Nigerian musician to have a song certified gold in France. He joins the likes of Burna Boy and CKay, who have gotten the same recognition in the European country.

Rema received the certification for his highly successful song titled ‘Dumebi’ after it sold over 100,000 units, tantamount to 15 million streams. The song, released in 2019, is a catchy track off his ‘Iron Man’ extended play.

The music video for the track showed Rema as a lover boy who was in love with a lady that has a man already. Rema tried all his stunts to win the lady’s heart, but all went futile.

A picture obtained by WithinNigeria showed Rema in France as he poses with the gold certification plaque for the record, ‘Dumebi.’
