Opeyemi Aiyeola advices celebs to stop “selling their souls for wealth” at Nigeria’s expense in cryptic post

Actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has called on her fellow celebrities to stop “selling their souls for wealth” at Nigeria’s expense.

The actress encouraged her colleagues to open their hearts to the difficulties and happenings in Nigeria and focus less on acquiring wealth. She said they owe it to Nigeria to do the right thing.

In her cryptic message, Opeyemi Aiyeola didn’t mention names, nor explicitly state what she meant but it could be about celebrities who campaign for politicians or those who sell their votes. Aiyeola warned that if the nation falls, no one will be exempted from the consequences. She wrote:

“Dear colleagues, Please open ur hearts to the pain in the land. It’s no longer about acquisition of wealth.
Nigeria bleeds, Nigerians are bleeding
We owe it to Nigeria to do the right thing. We can no longer throw caution to the wind.

“Betraying Nigeria as a celebrity now is highly insensitive, selfish, cruel and evil.

Remember if we allow the country fall WE ALL WILL SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES and all the wealth we are insensitively clamoring for will burn before our eyes.

What shall it profit a Nigerian celebrity to sell his/ her soul n dignity in exchange for wealth and Nigeria falls.”
