I Hope Your Album Flops So I Can Shine —Blaqbonez Tells Asake

Blaqbonez and Asake

Rapper Blaqbonez has expressed his dissatisfaction with the unceasing win of his colleague, Asake.

Blaqbonez said he was not okay with the number one position Asake keeps holding on different music charts in the country. He disclosed this after the new release of the singer, ‘Terminator,’ took the first spot on Apple Music Top Songs and Spotify Daily Top 50 Songs in Nigeria.

Blaqbonez added that he hopes Asake’s forthcoming debut album entitled ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’ fails when it’s out on September 2, 2022, so he [Blaqbonez] takes the lead when he drops the lead single from his upcoming body of work.

Although Blaqbonez noted he loves Asake, he had to hate his success. He shared, “love to my bro Asake but I’m going to have to start hating on you from today onwards, every day I wake I’d hope you’ve left number 1 for the rest of us, my album’s first single drops a week after your album, I’d be hoping your album flops so I can shine, so sorry about this. Hate back in Uni >>>>> Terminator.”

The body of work, ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe,’ contains 12 tracks, including his previous releases, ‘Sungba’ remix featuring Grammy winner Burna Boy, ‘Peace Be Unto You,’ and his latest viral song, ‘Terminator.’
