Congratulations are in order for the latest Nollywood ‘grandmother’.
Actress Jaiye Kuti has become a ‘grandmother’ following the birth of her ‘daughter’ and colleague, Ferrari Okoro’s child.
The new mother and actress, Ferrari, called Jaiye Kuti the grandmother of her newborn baby in an Instagram post on Friday, August 26, where she also announced the birth of the child. She wrote:
“My mommy is officially a grandmother, please report her to me if you see her in leggings @jayeola_monje.”
Jaiye also celebrated the birth of the baby on Instagram.
“For the past 3days we’ve been on our knees begging God for safe delivery and our prayers have been answered. Congratulations my baby love @ferraribongkem. Jesu seun o.”
Reacting in the comment section of the post, Ferrari wrote: “Latest grandma in town.”
Fellow celebrities congratulated them in the comment section of the post.
Jaiye and the Cameroonian-Nigerian born actress share a close friendship off and online.
Ferrari Okoro was a banker before venturing into acting and filmmaking. She made her debut in 2010.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls Jaiye Kuti had a message for those who criticized her colleague, Olaiya Igwe for choosing to prostrate in appreciation of a car gift he received from MC Oluomo.
Jaiye Kuti said it is a gesture she could have made if in the same situation because appreciation is all that matters, irrespective of age.
