“I was pregnant for 8 months and lost the child” – Actress Debbie Shokoya tearfully opens up (VIDEO)

Debbie Shokoya's poignant and painstaking account of the events that led to the heartbreaking loss of her pregnancy at the eight-month mark, has resonated profoundly across the online sphere, evoking intense emotions from fans far and wide.

In a heart-rending revelation, Yoruba movie star, Debbie Shokoya, has emotionally shared the painful journey of losing her eight-month-old child shortly after birth.

In a poignant video that she unveiled on her YouTube channel last Friday, Debbie tearfully revisited the painful narrative of losing her child while in the United States of America, an ordeal that unfolded slightly more than a month ago.

The actress shared that her transatlantic journey was fueled by an optimistic aspiration – to journey back home cradling her precious baby. However, destiny intervened cruelly, snatching away her little one at the tender age of eight months.

In her own words, she conveyed that her family members have been a pillar of support, urging her to find the strength to carry on. She is presently navigating the challenging path of letting go and grieving in her own unique way.

Debbie said she was rushed to an emergency ward after it was discovered that the baby wasn’t breathing again, and she was induced.

According to her,  she gave birth to her child dead as she broke down in tears recounting the sacrifice she had made during the pregnancy.

In her heartfelt appeal for empathy, she implored people to refrain from passing harsh judgments. With raw vulnerability, she bared her soul about the sacrifices she had selflessly undertaken and the challenges she had weathered, all in the name of safeguarding her unborn child’s well-being, only to ultimately endure the gut-wrenching pain of loss.

Amidst a cascade of tears, she displayed remarkable courage by voicing the profound anguish stemming from the unbreakable connection she shared with her unborn child, a bond that has made the loss all the more profound and difficult to bear.

In a section of the video, she said,

Almost everyone knows that Debbie Shokoya is pregnant and expecting and with all glory to God, I lost my child at 8 months.

That’s to tell you that I choose to speak on what I want to speak about. If I don’t want to speak about it, I wouldn’t talk about it.

Be careful what you will say cause words are sensitive. I am a mother, I carried my child for 8 months. I sacrificed a lot for my child, I know what I went through. How I traveled with the joy of coming back with my child, but God understands right?

It’s not easy, I carried my child for 8 months, bonded with my child but lost my child”.

“I was rushed to the emergency, and it was when we discovered the child wasn’t moving anymore and they got me induced, and I gave birth to my child dead, I carried my child death.

“Imagine a child I sacrificed so much for, I have been going through a lot, and I didn’t tell anyone because I wanted to grieve my own way. I’m getting over it gradually.

“Please, the public should respect my marriage, it is personal. Keep all assumptions about my marriage to yourselves.”
