Singer Mohbad laid to rest in Ikorodu amid tears – VIDEO

Ikorodu's town was draped in an aura of pain and anguish today Wednesday, as indigenes, fans gathered to bid their last farewell to Mohbad, who according to reports, battled with constant fear for his safety and that of loved ones


On the poignant Wednesday of September 13, 2023, the mortal remains of Nigerin rapper, singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba affectionately recognized as MohBad, was laid to rest  in Ikorodu, Lagos.

The 27-year-old singer died on Tuesday, September 12 with controversies rife about the cause of his death.

Some reports claimed that he had sought medical treatment for an ear infection but, after receiving an injection, he lost consciousnesses and failed to wake up.

Amid conflicting reports surrounding his death, the singer is reported to have been buried today, September 13, less than 24 hours after his tragic passing, according to Islamic rites.

Live footages from Mohbad’s burial in the Ikorodu area of Lagos have emerged online as young people in the neighbourhood gathered to pay tributes to the singer.

Several clips on social media showed the burial procession as many wailed when his coffin was lowered to the ground.

The clips captured the moment when the body of the deceased arrived as people gathered around a car while it rained there.

The ceremony was presided over white garment pastor who offered prayers for his soul to find eternal serenity.

 

In another video, some young people were seen singing as they mourned Mohbad while making bold claims about the singer’s death.

This is coming after videos made the rounds online of Mohbad’s grave being dug, and some of the onlookers present complained about its location.

Several social media users also reacted to the trending videos as they criticised those complaining about the burial site
