The crème de la crème of African music made a grand entrance at the 2023 Trace Awards, which is currently unfolding at the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda, on this 21st of October.

In the viral video clips circulating like wildfire, Davido and Yemi Alade, both carrying the torch with top award nominations at the event, crossed paths just before the event’s grand kickoff.

Yemi, upon spotting Davido, couldn’t contain her excitement and joyfully hailed him as “Big Daddy” as he approached. With pure delight in their hearts, they extended their arms for an embrace as warm as toast, and OBO whispered that it felt like ages since they’d last met. In turn, Yemi affectionately dubbed him “the Lord Chosen.”

Following this sweet embrace, The OBO crooner noticed a striking coincidence – a touch of green in their attire, which he playfully pointed out. The two ended the video with a delightful selfie.
