Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde recently reveals the secret behind her long-lasting and successful 27-year marriage with her husband, Captain Matthew Ekeinde.

In her honest submission, she shared the key to a happy and long lasting marriage.

The actress, who turned 45 in February, revealed in an interview that her marriage to Captain Matthew Ekeinde has endured because she does not challenge her husband.

She suggested that a guy would respect a woman if she submitted to him. and highlighted on how inappropriate it is for women to demand equality with men.

Omotola Jalade Ekeinde stated in the interview that she doesn’t go to the market to buy food for her family because typically, her spouse is the one who shops for everything the house needs.

She recalls one time she followed her husband to the market but was met with a very large crowd because of her popularity, this however prompted her husband to ask her to always stay back home while he goes out to buy foodstuffs for the family.

The actress and mother of four who clocked 45 on February 7 said she couldn’t throw a birthday party due to the sad incidents going on in Nigeria, Turkey and Syria.

So as not to come off as insensitive, Omotola Jalade said with all that’s going on in these countries, she couldn’t throw a party.

She revealed how her husband told her he has planned a mini getaway for both of them. When Omotola got there, she said she was glad the place was serene without any ‘screaming party’ waiting for them.

Sharing a detailed video of how she had fun with her husband, Omotola thanked him for the trip.
