“Misplaced priorities” – Daniel Regha drags Peter Obi for flying to Ivory Coast to watch Nigeria’s match

Daniel Regha faulted Peter Obi's trip to Cote d'Ivoire for Super Eagles' match against the Angolan national team.

Controversial social media commentator, Daniel Regha has criticized the presence of Peter Obi, a Nigerian politician, in Ivory Coast for the just concluded Nigeria-Angola clash.

Regha questioned the purpose of Obi’s trip to Ivory Coast, suggesting that it is inappropriate for a politician to prioritize attending a sporting event, such as watching the Super Eagles play, over addressing pressing national issues.

In his statement, Regha emphasized that Nigeria is currently facing various crises, including the situation in Anambra State, and public figures like politicians should prioritize addressing these challenges rather than attending sports events.

He argued that entertainers and influencers, rather than politicians, should be the ones attending such events.

Regha further described Obi’s trip as a PR move with misplaced priorities.

In his words:

“Peter Obi is currently in Ivory Coast to do what exactly? Travelling all the way to watch the Super Eagles while Nigeria is currently in crisis, including Anambra State? Public figures who should be at the stadium are entertainers & influencers, not politicians who should be fixing the nation. This is nothing but a PR move, m!splaced priorities.”
