Singer Solidstar bounces back from mental health ordeal, opens up to fans

In 2023, Solidstar caused a stir among fans when he was spotted wandering the streets, looking unkempt and behaving unusually. Concerns arose, leading to reports of his admission into rehab to address his challenges. However, emerging from this difficult period, Solidstar openly reflected on the lessons learned and announced his comeback to the music scene with a renewed sense of determination


Embattled singer Joshua Iniyezo, popularly known as Solidstar has seized the spotlight on his social media platform, by courageously delving into his harrowing battles with mental health.

In August  2023, a trending video of Solidstar sparked widespread reactions online after he was seen roaming the streets barefooted and looking ragged.. He was admitted at a rehab centre last year following his addiction to drugs.

Solidstar made a dramatic return to his Instagram page following his recovery, boldly sharing his thoughts on Sunday, March 2023.

In a candid revelation, he opened up about the tumultuous journey of his music career, acknowledging the thrilling highs and daunting lows that have characterized his path in the industry.

The music star is back again as he drops a new song, “Sonto”, which he describes as “a piece of my heart poured into every beat and lyric.”

Expressing deep remorse, he humbly extended his apologies to his devoted fanbase and to anyone he may have inadvertently caused pain or offense to during the shadows of his darkest moments.

“I am far from perfect, but I am committed to growth, empathy, and understanding. Please forgive me, in your own time and in your own way,” he said.

“I want to take this moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who stood by me during my darkest hour. Your unwavering support, whether through a message, a call, or a silent prayer, meant more to me than words can convey.

“To my fans, friends, and family: thank you for never giving up on me, even when I struggled to hold onto myself. Your love has been my guiding light, leading me out of the shadows and into the warmth of healing.

“I also want to extend a heartfelt apology to anyone I may have unintentionally hurt or offended along the way. I am far from perfect, but I am committed to growth, empathy, and understanding. Please forgive me, in your own time and in your own way.”

Solidstar, in a bold declaration, pledged to harness his social media platform not merely as a conduit for his music, but also as a powerful vehicle for advocating mental health awareness and disseminating positivity with every melodic note and heartfelt word he shares.
