Wizkid is the only Nigerian artist I’m impressed with – Phyna

• Phyna stated that the singer got endeared to her because of his recent social media outburst.

BBNaija season seven winner, Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna expresses her admiration for Afrobeat sensation, Wizkid , reveals that his is the only Nigerian artist who truly impresses her.

Recall that Wizkid caused a stir when he declared recently that he no longer want to be identified as an Afrobeats singer. He also shot back at critics who called him out for disparaging the genre in a statement.

However, in reaction via his X handle, Phyna praised the singer, stating that he is the first Nigerian musician to truly impress her.

She wrote in Pidgin:

“Omo I’m loving Wizkid now oooh. Baba no send anybody papa. Gosh…shea person fit change fave? Bcuz like this eh!!! Na only Star boy dy do wetin dy sweet me…Una papa.”

Her post generated a range of responses, with many criticizing her for endorsing such a crude behavior.
