Cardi B opens up on the struggles and tolls fame had on her mental health

American Rapper Cardi B opens up about how her fear of social media backlash had a profound impact on her career.

In a candid discussion with complex 360 with speedy series, Cardi delved into the struggles she faced, the internal battles fought, and how she managed to overcome the fear that threatened to cripple her creativity and success.

Cardi B, known for her bright attitude and outspoken demeanor, exhibited a more sensitive side during the conversation.

Cardi B admitted despite her massive success and tons of followers, the continual bombardment of criticism and negative comments on social media platforms has a profound affect on her, discouraging her from engaging in her talent and personal life.

According to her, the pressure to always produce hits and maintain a specific image put her in a state of anxiety.

She said:

“I just feel like I lost myself with everything.

A lot of music commenters and everything and a lot of people just be like, ‘She’s afraid to drop an album, she’s afraid to drop music.

“Like last year, I barely dropped music.

“It’s just like I was just afraid to do everything.”

Few weeks ago, Cardi B confirmed split from husband Offset after 6 years of marriage.

The Grammy-winning rapper confirmed the news, leaving fans and followers stunned as they had been accustomed to seeing the couple’s vibrant and seemingly in a solid relationship.

Just a few days have passed since the pair unfollowed one another on Instagram before this confirmation.

“I’ve been single for a minute now. But I’ve been afraid…not afraid, I just don’t know how to tell the world.

“The last time I went on Live, I kinda wanted to tell you guys, but I didn’t know how to tell you so I changed my mind. But it has been like this for a minute now”she said.
