Nollywood actress and now politician, Tonto Dikeh, has launched a scathing critique against Nigerian political figure Peter Obi for his recent unveiling of substandard borehole projects in certain Northern states.

In a bold Instagram post, the renowned movie star directly questioned Obi’s dedication to propelling Nigeria forward to the next level.

She expressed deep disappointment, emphasizing that the thought of Nigeria nearly placing its trust in him is disheartening.

The movie star clarified that her remarks were not mere trolling; rather, they stemmed from genuine dissatisfaction and disbelief in Obi’s actions.

Tonto Dikeh, now a member of The All Progressives Congress (APC), pointedly called on Peter Obi and all Nigerians to unite with President Tinubu in advancing the nation’s development.

In a passionate statement, the actress emphasized that achieving progress is not the responsibility of a single individual but necessitates collective dedication and collaboration from everyone, including prominent figures like Peter Obi.

Sharing a video showcasing a compilation of photos of Peter Obi unveiling the borehole projects, she wrote;

“His Excellency sir with all due respect @peterobigregory am deeply disappointed by this.The idea that Nigeria was almost entrusted to you, sir, is disheartening.

This isn’t trolling; I’m genuinely dissatisfied with your actions. I’m in disbelief. Were you truly committed to taking this country to the next level?

This situation highlights the need for all of us to join hands with Mr President @officialasiwajubat and actively contribute to the nation’s progress.

It’s not a task for one person alone; it requires the dedication of all.

YOUR EXCELLENCY, Mr. Obi, I am profoundly let down. Despite that, you remain one of my favorite politicians.

However, I believe in speaking the truth directly because I love you, but I love Nigeria even more”.
