Grammy-awarded Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, widely recognized as Burna Boy, has been distinguished by the American publication Essence, joining the ranks of the most captivating men currently in the spotlight.

The roster, which features British cinematic luminary Damson Idris at the forefront, debuted in Essence’s premier edition dedicated to the most magnetic men of the era.

Essence’s Entertainment Editor, Rivea Ruff, extolled Burna Boy, noting that His allure transcends mere aesthetics, rooted in his authentically African charisma.

His vocal prowess and stage dominance are undeniable, matched by his sartorial elegance and meticulous grooming, topped with the finest jewelry, it’s a combination that’s irresistible to many, he stated

The illustrious list is further adorned by the likes of Usher, Trevente Rhodes, Daniel Kaluuya, Colman, and Skepta.

Significantly, Burna Boy stands out as the sole representative of the Afrobeats genre.

Within Nigeria reported how Burna Boy becomes first Artiste to win Best International Act Award 4 times.

Burna Boy won the 2023 Black Entertainment Awards’ Best International Act honour, becoming the first artist to bag the coveted award four times.

The ‘African Giant’ singer won the most coveted category of the BET Awards by defeating competitors like Ayra Starr, Central Cee, and Stormzy, among others.

The ‘Common Person’ crooner has won the award four times now, namely, in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2023. Losing to another Nigerian singer, Tems, in 2022.

US-based Michael Blackson, a Ghanaian-Liberian actor and comedian, accepted the award on his behalf.

Bunaboy has had an amazing last couple of years.

His 2022 album ‘Love, Damini’ was a worldwide success, and he already took home a BET Award in the same category in 2019 and 2021.

Other nominees in the category included Aya Nakamura, Ayra Starr, Central Cee, Ella Mai, K.O, L7nnon, Stormzy, Tiakola and Uncle Waffles.
