Popular Instagram personality and celebrity barman, Cubana Chief Priest, has reportedly been arrested and is currently in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Sources within the EFCC, who spoke with LIB under conditions of anonymity, revealed that Chief Priest has been placed under detention and is slated to appear in court on April 17, 2024.

Although the precise timing of his arrest remains undisclosed, it is confirmed that he is presently in EFCC custody.

The allegations against Chief Priest revolve around his actions during various events, including one held at the prestigious Eko Hotel in Lagos on February 13, 2024.

Additionally, events purportedly held in Lagos in January 2024 and another occasion dating back to 2020 have come under scrutiny by the EFCC.

In related news, The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it has concluded plans to prosecute Pascal Okechukwu, better known Cubana Chiefpriest, over alleged naira abuse.

The development is coming few days after popular cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky, was sentenced to a six-month jail term over naira abuse.

The anti-graft agency said Cubana Chiefpriest will be arraigned before the Federal High Court in Lagos for spraying and tampering with the naira.

This was contained in charge sheet filed on April 4, 2024, by EFFC’s prosecutor Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN) alongside seven other lawyers representing the chairman of the anti-graft agency.
