Peggy Ovire reacts to comment on her forcing Freddie Leonard to marry her amidst report of rift with hubby

The blossoming romance between Peggy and Freddie, once mere colleagues turned lovers and eventually tying the knot, has long been hailed as one of Nollywood's enchanting tales of love. However, whispers of discord have recently reared their ugly heads, coupled with insinuations of Peggy coercing her partner into matrimony. This latter accusation caught Peggy's eye, prompting her to take to social media to confront and squash it head-on.

Peggy Ovire, the renowned Nigerian actress, ignited a social media frenzy with her fiery rebuttal to claim of coercing her husband, actor Freddie Leonard, into marriage.

Just a few days back, the infamous gossip hub, Cutie Juls, lit up the social media sphere with its explosive commentary on Peggy and Freddie’s apparent Instagram shade-throwing antics.

Cutie Juls wrote;

These 2 have been kinda throwing shades at each other..”

The post ignited a frenzy of comments, with users not only insinuating but downright speculating about the existence of a full-blown feud between the power couple of Nollywood.

One particular comment that caught Peggy’s attention came from an Instagram user, @Adanma_nora, who boldly declared her lack of surprise.

According to her, Freddie never seemed willingly inclined to marry Peggy; instead, she alleged that Peggy had pressured him into it.

The IG user wrote;

Who doesn’t know that when a man is being forced into something, e no dey last….”

In a swift response to the trolling comment, Peggy Ovire brushed off the allegations with a confident chuckle. She boldly asserted her self-worth, emphasizing that she would never stoop to forcing herself on any man.

Peggy Ovire wrote;

This got me laughing hard, Peggy! Beauty, brain, & her own bag. Forced my husband to marry me, You don’t know me oh, full urhobo girl, stop the hate. I’m always in my quiet lane, It’s not my fault that your father didn’t teach you how to place value on yourself, I know you still have a crush on him, No vex na, but tearing your fellow woman on socials, is you undermining the power of a quiet woman.”
