BBNaija’s Pere, others join Funnybone in criticizing Pastor Abel Damina

Nigerian Comedian Chibunna Stanley popularly known as Funnybone, has ignited a fiery debate with his outspoken skepticism regarding the controversial Pastor Abel Damina.

The cleric has recently stirred the pot by publicly lambasting fellow ministers who accept tithes and engage in traditional Christian practices

Dr. Damina’s brazen public criticisms have earned him a mixed bag of reactions from Nigerians—some hail him as a reformer, while others accuse him of sowing discord and believe he should settle his disagreements with fellow clergy privately rather than in the public eye.

In a fiery Instagram post on Friday, August 30th, Funnybone didn’t hold back, branded Damina as a “sharp-tongued theologian” who, despite his intellectual prowess, utterly lacks the spiritual gravitas and supernatural gifts essential for a true preacher.

The comedian, who claimed to know Damina since his days in Jos, Plateau State, confessed that he has long grappled with the cleric’s controversial biblical interpretations.

Celebrities, including BBNaija star Pere Egbi and comedian Ajebo, have stormed Funnybone’s comment section to weigh in on his stinging critique of Apostle Abel Damina.

Pere didn’t mince words, flatly declaring that Damina is a “no-no” in his book.

Pere Egbi wrote;

“Abel Damina is a No for me bro”

Ajebo, admitted that his only point of contention with Damina arose when the cleric agreed to appear on Nedu’s podcast, raised eyebrows and casted a shadow over his credibility.

Ajebodcomedian wrote;

“I’ve not really listened to his teachings but you see for a Pastor to wake Up, dress Up and go on Honest Bunch Podcast to talk about another Pastor, that’s a No No”
