Davido reacts after being linked to recent kidnapping, arrest in Lagos

Afrobeats megastar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has erupted in fury after his globally recognized brand name was harshly tied to a chilling criminal case in Lagos.

Three suspected kidnappers were recently apprehended by vigilant residents of Victory Estate in Ago Palace, Lagos State. Among them was their alleged leader, who, in a viral interrogation video, boldly declared, “Davido is my nickname. I came to kidnap.”

His accomplices, hailing from Kwara, Imo, and Anambra states, admitted to their involvement, but it was the infamous alias that set the internet ablaze.

Sensing an opportunity for engagement, controversial blogger Instablog wasted no time in crafting a clickbait headline that sent shockwaves through social media:

“Davido and two others apprehended for kidnapping in Lagos.”

The misleading headline, devoid of any clarification, instantly enraged the real Davido, who took to social media with fire and fury.

The singer, known for his no-nonsense stance against defamation, didn’t mince words, he called out the Instablog’s reckless reporting and issued a stern warning.

Davido wrote;

“One Day go be one day, continue My karma no Dey always tey”
