I almost gave Kidnappers N100m from my NGO — Verydarkman on Afenifere Youth Leader’s sad plight (VIDEO)

Nigerian humanitarian and justice advocate, Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as Verydarkman (VDM), has opened up about his intense struggle with inner conflict over the harrowing kidnap of Prince Eniola Ojajuni, the National President of the Afenifere National Youth Council.

In a viral video that surfaced online, Prince Eniola appeared in a deeply distressing state, his voice a fragile thread of hope as he called on Nigerians to help him raise the N100 million ransom demanded by his abductors.

The video, chilling in its rawness, showed a kidnapper pressing an AK-47 to his chest while he begged for his life. The captors’ cold ultimatum was clear: if the ransom was not paid by 3:00 pm on Monday, death would follow.

He said, “Nigerians, please help me! Your donation, N100,000, N50,000, or N1,000,000 can go a long way in saving my life”

Verydarkman, visibly moved, did not mince words as he took to his page to address not just the kidnapping but the troubling apathy of those who dismissed Eniola’s plight due to his political ties with the APC and PDP.

He called out the harshness of those who let politics cloud their humanity, highlighted how, in times of life and death, empathy should triumph over blame.

The activist confessed that he nearly sacrificed N100 million from his NGO account to buy Eniola’s freedom but held back, not out of coldness but from his firm stance against emboldening kidnappers with ransom payments.

VDM urged security agencies to act swiftly, stressed that while he resisted the temptation to play savior, the real responsibility lay with those empowered to protect and serve.
