I lost 4 family members in 2 months – Deborah Ewedafe painfully shares


Canadian-based Nollywood actress cum filmmaker, Deborah Ewedafe has opened up on the devastating family tragedy that forced her to abandon her acting career.

Deborah in an emotional interview with her colleague and host Kunle Afod, disclosed how the loss of four family members within a span of just two months in 2024 left her in scathing pain.

The tragic events included the passing of her niece, brother, cousin, and father-in-law. This difficult period brought her acting career to a standstill.

Despite the pain, Deborah expressed gratitude for the lessons learned during that challenging time. She recalled:

“I was planning to take some actors to Canada for the continuation of season two of one of my movies that I started two years ago. I stopped acting in movies when I lost 4 members of my family in just 2 months.”

“I lost my niece, whom I started training from the age of 2, and she died at the age of 31. I lost my brother, my cousin, and my father-in-law. The year 2024 was a difficult year for me, but I thank God because I learnt a lot from those incidents.”

In other news, Nigerian skit maker cum actor Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has spoken about his willingness to forgive his wife Darasimi’s alleged infidelity.

This comes amid the actor’s exposé on his wife, where he accused her of infidelity with multiple partners.

Lande has now revealed why he can forgive his wife even though she cheated on him on multiple occasions, but he won’t take her back.
