Outrage as Apostle Amos Isah regains freedom, receives warm welcome after child rape arrest (VIDEO)

Child rape allegation: Apostle Amos Isah regains freedom

Apostle Amos Isah, the founder of the Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry in Gwagwalada, Abuja, arrested in June 2025 for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl during a private prayer session, has reportedly been released from police custody — and his return to church has sparked a wave of national outrage.

In a video that trended online on Wednesday, the controversial cleric was seen being welcomed back by excited members of his church.

The footage showed Apostle Isa smiling and embracing congregants in a jubilant outdoor celebration just outside the church premises, barely hours after news of his release surfaced.

According to reports, the pastor was released today, though details surrounding the conditions of his release remain unclear.

Law enforcement agencies have yet to issue an official statement confirming whether the pastor was granted bail, cleared of the charges, or released pending further investigation.

Apostle Amos Isah had been taken into custody in June 2025 following serious allegations that he sexually assaulted a minor during a supposed deliverance session.

The accusation drew wide attention, particularly because of the victim’s age and the increasing number of sexual abuse cases tied to high-profile religious leaders in Nigeria.

The incident has now renewed calls for stricter oversight of religious institutions and harsher penalties for abuse of minors under any form of authority, including spiritual mentorship.
