Social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has reignited public debate over the mysterious death of Nigerian singer Mohbad, vowing to reveal details about a privately conducted DNA test connected to the late artiste’s child.
In a fiery video, VDM questioned the way Mohbad’s case has been handled, suggesting that things would have played out differently if the singer’s father had been wealthy. He said:
“If Mohbad’s father was a rich man, you think this case will be like this? If he was a rich man and he went to his son’s house and saw that he had already been embalmed, do you think anybody will leave that house? Everybody will be arrested and they must say what happened to Mohbad.”
He accused certain individuals of crafting a false narrative to cover up what really happened on the day Mohbad died and questioned how the singer’s body was moved before it was rushed to the hospital. He continued:
“The boys that announced in the car that Mohbad was dead, where did they carry the body from? Who was in the house? What happened in the house that day, that you had to rush him to the hospital?”
Turning to the DNA controversy, VDM alleged that shortly after Mohbad’s passing, Twitter influencers Pooja and Mbah claimed a DNA test had already confirmed Mohbad as the father of his son. He warned:
“A month after Mohbad died, two Twitter influencers, Pooja and Mbah, posted that the DNA was done already and it has been confirmed that the baby was for Mohbad. I give them 24 hours to defend these tweets. I will be disappointed if they were paid to make this tweet.”
VDM added that he will soon share the alleged private DNA test results and details of conversations from a group chat about the matter. He also sent a strong message to those urging him to drop the case. He declared:
“Whoever said I should stop talking about justice for Mohbad, God will punish the person.”
His latest statement has reignited heated discussions online, with many demanding a transparent and conclusive investigation into Mohbad’s death.
