Former Big Brother Naija housemate Ka3na Jones has come under fire after sharing a digitally altered version of Davido and Chioma’s pre-wedding photo, with her own face replacing Chioma’s.
The controversial reality star, who has built a reputation for her bold online persona, initially posted the image with a cheeky caption:
“Bloggers be out here photoshopping my wedding pics… Here’s the real photo. y’all made our day so special #chivido2025. Congratulations to the bride & groom @davido @thechefchi.”
But the joke didn’t land well with many Nigerians, who accused her of being insensitive and disrespectful to the couple, especially in the midst of their high-profile wedding celebrations.
In a lengthy Instagram statement on Wednesday morning, Ka3na described herself as a millionaire at 19, a wife at 22, and a mother at 25. She made it clear that her post was harmless fun, not a ploy to come between Davido and Chioma. She wrote:
“Abi una think say I wan snatch Mr David from him gorgeous wife? Please, I DO WHITE MEN ONLY!”
She added that those who truly know her are aware of how highly she speaks of Davido and Chioma, and even Davido himself knows she supports them.
She continued:
“It’s not just about showing empty love online, do you actually pray for them? How many of you can honestly say you’ve prayed in private for their marriage to succeed? I can.”
Ka3na went on to stress that away from social media, she is a widow, a single mother, and a businesswoman navigating real-life challenges. Despite this, she chooses to maintain a curated online presence that occasionally includes lighthearted jokes.
She also revealed that the controversial post was always intended to be temporary, concluding:
“I will now archive ‘the post’ not because some of you bullied me but because it was meant to be deleted after 24hrs.”
