Popular Nigerian streamer and skitmaker, Oderhowho Joseph Efe, better known as Caterefe, has revealed the sordid and disturbing details of his father’s death in Ogun State some years back.
He disclosed that his father, a police officer, was brutally gunned down by armed robbers donning military fatigues during a robbery operation in the South West state.
Caterefe made the disclosure when he featured in the recent epolsode of recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast.
The skitmaker recounted that his father was on his way home from work in a police van when he and some of his colleagues ran into a gridlock on the highway ostensibly caused by the robbery.
According to him, unbeknownst to his father and his fellow officers, the men in military camouflage were robbers, they alighted from their vehicle to know what was causing gridlock, but robbers opened fire on them upon spotting their police uniform.
He stated that the widespread media coverage of his father’s gruesome murder with footage of his lifeless body still on YouTube makes the tragedy all the more traumatic for him.
Caterefe said, “My dad had closed from duty and was heading home but he decided to enter the police van to the nearest bus-stop to our house, we were saying at Ogun State then.
“However, they ran into a gridlock and some men in military camouflage were robbing. My dad and his colleagues alighted from the van to check what was goingon, but immediately the robbers spotted them in police uniform, they opened fire on them. My dad is on YouTube, I saw my dad’s lifeless body on the ground with police uniform.”
He added, “I am nota stranger to pain. I have gone through a lot of pains. So, there is no pain that will make me stop my grind.”
