Needless to say, the veteran Imo State-born comedian did not disappoint as he entertained President Buhari and other dignitaries with one rib-cracking joke after another.<\/p>\n<p>The comedian urged Mr. President to reconsider the proposed ban on edible cowhide popularly known in local parlance as \u2018ponmo\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>According to Okey Bakassi, cowhide is an essential component in several local delicacies prepared in Imo State and several parts of the country.<\/p>\n<p>His words;<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>Mr. President, I don\u2019t know the kind of meat that is served in the State House. But some of us like ponmo with stew or sauce. Now, if they ban ponmo, I don\u2019t know how we will cope.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mr. President, I don\u2019t know if you have tried eating \u2018peppered ponmo\u2019 lately.
