Nollywood actress cum entrepreneur, Susan Peters has opened up on why her 7 year old marriage was short-lived.<\/p>\n

Susan Peters who had earlier in 2022 quit her marriage, spoke on one of the many reasons and according to her, her ex mother-in-law never liked her because of her skin colour.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Benue State born actress made this known while reacting to Prince Harry<\/a>\u2019s statement about how his family treated his wife, Meghan because of her skin colour.<\/span><\/p>\n

In two interviews with British and US networks ITV and CBS, the Duke of Sussex spoke of the death of his mother, the former Princess of Wales; his disdain for the British press; his anger over the treatment of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and the subsequent fallout with his family since their marriage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Susan Peters wrote on her Instagram page in reaction to the video of Prince Harry\u2019s statement:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe all go through the same thing , my mother In-law never liked me too. I think the color itself is intimidating, oh well \u2026 we never agreed with each other at all.\u201d
\n<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It would be recalled that the movie star in March 2022 moved on and deleted everything that would remind her of her short-lived romance with her former husband, Dr Koen Croon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The beautiful actress got married to her Dutch lover in a traditional wedding ceremony held in 2015 in Benue State.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The couple later had a civil marriage at Ikoyi Marriage Registry, Lagos State in the presence of some of the bride\u2019s colleagues in the movie industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trouble began when Susan and her husband had to begin their married life living miles apart from each other.<\/span><\/p>\n

The actress was already pregnant with their first child when it was rumoured that the marriage had collapsed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She lost the pregnancy. Being a very private person, Susan kept her lips sealed and continued to enjoy her marriage. Not long after, the marriage finally hit the rocks.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the reasons for the breakup was the allegedly the long distance separating the couple. Susan Peters was busy facing her career as an actress in Nigeria and reportedly neglected her husband abroad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The actress was not willing to sacrifice her robust acting career and fully settle down. Her husband also reportedly indulged in extra marital affairs in her absence.
