{"id":123167,"date":"2023-03-31T19:12:18","date_gmt":"2023-03-31T19:12:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/?p=123167"},"modified":"2023-03-31T19:12:18","modified_gmt":"2023-03-31T19:12:18","slug":"ivd-court-remands-blessing-okoro-till-may-30th-over-alleged-cyber-bullying-libel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2023\/03\/31\/ivd-court-remands-blessing-okoro-till-may-30th-over-alleged-cyber-bullying-libel\/","title":{"rendered":"IVD: Court remands Blessing Okoro till May 30th over alleged cyber-bullying, libel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Relationship therapist, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2023\/03\/31\/video-as-blessing-okoro-gets-arrested-over-involvement-in-ivd-and-late-wife-bimbos-case\/\"><strong>Blessing Okoro alias Blessing CEO<\/strong> <\/a>has been remanded in prison by the Federal High Court in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>The court on Friday, 31st March remanded Blessing CEO following her arraignment by the police over alleged cyber-bullying and libel.<\/p>\n<p>The content creator was remanded in the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS) until May 30 for the hearing of her bail application by Justice Yelim Bogoro.<\/p>\n<p>The defendant was arraigned by the police on six-count of alleged cyber-bullying, libel, and exhibiting uncensored movies.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecution counsel Rotshang Faith Dimka of the Force Headquarters, Abuja, said Okoro of Lekki, Lagos, on October 16, 2022, <em>\u201cintentionally sent messages using her Instagram handle @officialblessingceo to bully, threaten and harass one Folashade Samuels, a.k.a Mamajazz, a younger sister to the late Bimbo Ogbonna.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In addition, Blessing CEO was accused of using her Instagram handle, @officialblessingceo, to harm the reputation of Folashade Samuels and the late Bimbo Ogbonna by subjecting them to hatred, disdain, and mockery.<\/p>\n<p>The police also alleged that she exhibited a film and video work titled &#8220;Sweet Sour&#8221; without obtaining a censorship certificate or holding a license issued by the National Film &amp; Video Censors Board (NFVCB).<\/p>\n<p>According to the police, some of the messages allegedly sent by the defendant included:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cLet\u2019s ask Mamajazz where her father is??? Their father had exactly the same issue with their mother Ebele and he ran away for us (sic) dear life. IVD\u2019s crime was that he was not man enough to run\u2026 \u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe family of late Bimbo is after IVD\u2019\u2019s properties and life. Especially her elder sister Mamajazz. Bimbo and IVD are well-known people in Lagos and it\u2019s not a hidden fact that even in their estate that Bimbo is violent. Everybody knows how she breaks a bottle on her husband\u2019s head on a daily .. Bimbo killed herself and has always wanted to kill herself right from childhood. Evidence loading. Subscribe,\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI will ask Mamajazz, the late Bimbo\u2019s sister few questions\u2026where (sic) you in (sic) talking terms with your sister before (she) died? Are you owing your late sister 18 million? Did she block you before her death? Do you even like your sisters\u2019 children?? Answers this question because | will slam the internet with raw facts and evidence.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI am stepping into the case as the official relationship therapist of IVD\u2026 Will drop all the evidence that IVD did not kill his wife or even hurt her. The late Bimbo was the violent person and suicidal victim\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>According to the police, the defendant&#8217;s actions violated Section 24 (2)(a)(1) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act, 2015, and Section 375 of the Criminal Code Act.<\/p>\n<p>They also contravened Section 33 of the NFVCB Act, 2004.<\/p>\n<p>Okoro on her part pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n<p>Recall that Bimbo, the wife of Lagos celebrity auto dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna (popularly known as IVD), passed away last year in a fire incident that occurred at their residence in Lekki.<\/p>\n<p>Ogbonna, 37, is currently facing trial at the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja in relation to her death.<\/p>\n<p>The Lagos State Government arraigned the defendant on a one-count charge of involuntary manslaughter in suit number LD\/21055C\/23.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Relationship therapist, Blessing Okoro alias Blessing CEO has been remanded in prison by the Federal High Court in Lagos.
